ANZAC Oaty Bars

Our ANZAC Oaty Bars Have all the flavours of the classic bikkies, but with our usual wholesome spin.

A little reminder that food can be both nourishing and comforting.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup rolled oats

  • ½ cup ground almonds

  • 1 cup desiccated coconut

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ½ cup melted butter

  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup

  • 1 Tbsp local honey

  • pinch of sea salt


Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 170°C and line a baking tin with paper.

2. Add the almonds, rolled oats, coconut and baking soda to a food processor, and pulse until combined.

3. Add the maple syrup, honey, butter and salt. Pulse again until combined and beginning to come together. Add a little more oats or butter if too dry/wet.

4. Using wet hands firmly press the mixture into the prepared baking tin. Sprinkle with a little extra oats and coconut.

5. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden. Once cooked, leave to cool completely in the fridge overnight. The next day, slice into desired sized bars, and store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
