One Pan Bone Broth Mince & Cheddar Pie
A much-loved Go Diet Free recipe.
A hearty, savoury pie - made in minutes and in just one pan.
Simmered with bone broth, it’s naturally rich in collagen, gut-healing amino acids like glycine and proline, and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus. Together, these nutrients help repair and strengthen the gut lining, enhance nutrient absorption, and support skin elasticity and hydration from within.
We use all-butter pastry from Paneton Bakery - a nourishing choice over vegetable fat (margarine) alternatives.
One Pan BONE BROTH MINCE & CHEDDAR PIE
Ingredients
500g Beef Mince
1 1/2 Cups Beef Broth
2 Garlic Clove, crushed
1 Carrot, grated
2 Cups Spinach, chopped
1 Tbsp Tomato Sauce
1 Tbsp Flour
150g Puff Pastry (all butter, we recommend Panteon brand)
50g Cheddar Cheese, grated
Sea Salt & Black Pepper
Directions
Drizzle a skillet with olive oil and place over medium heat.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Add the garlic and onion and sauté until softened. Add the mince, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook for 6–8 minutes or until browned.
Add the carrot, spinach, tomato sauce, and bone broth. Season well with salt and pepper, then stir and leave to simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once the beef is cooked, combine the flour and a little water to make a slurry. Bring the pan to a rapid simmer, then pour in the flour mixture, stirring constantly until thickened into a gravy. Add more flour if required.
Top the mince mixture with the grated cheese, season again with pepper, and place the pastry over the top as a lid. Brush with milk or a whisked egg and bake in the oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and cooked through.
Serve immediately with a side salad or vegetables of your choice.
